Late afternoon on one of those warm sunny days where you get that intense quality of light unique to St Ives. Me and Jo were sitting in front of The Tate, with my youngest daughter (then 5) playing in the sand. I simply said "why don't we just move here". That was the moment that changed everything - and in December 1998 we did !

What area did you move from Steve

We were living in Frome Somerset. Not a bad place - apart from the rednecks ! Every time we came to St Ives it felt like home - amazing how many other people say that. Every time we returned to Frome we started counting the days.

october 2007: staying in a room at the pednolva on a stormy night.room has two windows: one overlooking the harbour, the other across portminster beach.we left both windows slighty open. the white noise and the views were wonderful!
