we will be in st ives for new year's eve. we would like to go for a meal and then see new year in outside with everyone else. where is the best place to go for a nice meal with lots of atmosphere and even a bit of entertainment. also what bar are best to visit on new years eve.

We spend every new year in St ives. I,m not sure if any restaurants lay on entertainment. What we tend to do is have an early meal somewhere (loads of great restaurants to choose from) then go and get changed an hit the streets.

The town will be packed to the rafters, far far busier than at the height of summer, your best bet is just to wander round soaking up the fantastic atmosphere, stopping of in the various bars, which will be 10 or more deep at the bar.

Don't forget your fancy dress, everyone does it. You will have an amazing time.
